GMO Food Labeling

GMO FOOD LABELING

What your business needs to know.

In 2015, Vermont governor Peter Schumlin signed Act 120 into law, which states that as of July 1, 2016, food producers and retailers in Vermont are required to label all of their products made with GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms).

Here ae more details on the

H.R.1599, better known as The Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act of 2015, did not gain enough traction within the Senate to pass.  Therefore, Act 120 has been upheld.  Although GMO labeling laws are not in effect in all states, companies like General Mills and Campbell Soup Co. have already started adding GMO labels to their products to avoid driving up the costs of their products and creating unhappy consumers.

64 countries around the world already require the labeling of foods that contain GMOs.  The labels required for foods made with GMOs are held to specific standards and are unlike traditional labeling styles.  Details like the exact phrasing, font size and style are mandated by law.

Here's our solution.

At The Price Gun Store, we can create the government-specific labels you need for foods made with genetically modified organisms.  Labels are dispensed using a hand held labeler set up specifically as just an applicator.  We also offer a number of label guns available from the industry's most tried-and-true brands.  We cater to the 8pt required font size for the sticker, as well as the ability to customize labels for your individual business needs.
